Code for sustainable homes

Code for sustainable homes

Recent legislation in England and Wales has meant that using certified timber in your building projects helps you earn material points under the Code for Sustainable Homes scheme. These points can result in your building project achieving higher ratings. Our CoC sites can supply timber products that are compliant with either ‘Legal’ or ‘Legal and Sustainable’ specification in the Government procurement policy using one of the approved schemes, such as FSCTM or PEFC.

To ensure that timber complies with your requirements the order should be placed with one of our sites, and the specifications must be confirmed at the time of order.

Our Stellac Thermowood (thermally modified timber) was used by the ZedFactory in their recent Code 6 home displayed at EcoBuild.
