The development follows a successful start to its contract to supply the modified softwood products in Scotland.

 

The result of over 75 years research and development, Accoya® combines a long established acetylation wood modification technique with cutting edge technology to give properties that surpass those of the best tropical hardwoods. Offering a more environmentally friendly solution, it is manufactured using non-toxic processes and timber from managed, sustainable sources.

 

Accoya® cladding provides numerous aesthetic and practical benefits. It has a minimum 60 year life expectancy, backed by BRE and supported with a 50 year guarantee, and is rot resistant; achieving the highest possible British Standard durability rating, class 1.

 

International Timber also offers exceptional coatings performance on Accoya® products as an approved Sikkens partner. With guarantees of up to eight years for opaque finishes and six years for translucent finishes; minimal maintenance is required, even in urban environments.
